It’s too bad the Canadiens can’t show up as a team and when Kovalev is on Koivu is off and again we say an absence of team toughness. The Habs had an opportunity jump up in the Eastern Conference standings against the Blue Shirts and again they DID NOT capitalize on their opportunity. That being said HabsCast rolls on win or loose.
So the Maple Laughs showed the whole country that they’re not going to finish in last place and 10 is a much more realistic expectation. All that can be said is it was an embarrassment to have Mikhail Grabovski walk around Markov the way Spezza used to school Souray. More importantly it shows how dependant the Canadiens are on the services of Roman Hamrlik as the Habs gave up six goals in his absences. Things went a lot better against the Senators as Carey Price collected his first shutout of the year and Chris Higgins lit the lamp with a hat trick. If any one can tell us who the last Hab was to have a hat trick (in the regular season) they can win a gift certificate at Boustan. Let us know habscast@gmail.com Word and Much Luv.

It seems like the Canadiens have turned into a football team cause they’ve only been playing once a week. After a week between games the Habs traveled to Columbus for an unexciting game against the Blue Jackets. Last time these two teams met the Jackets shut out our beloved Habs but I knew that things would be different because of the absence of a French Canadian goaltender. Young Steve Mason got the start and played exceptionally well as the Jackets seem to be building a strong core of young players. Tonight we get to the abundance of E-mails, thanks guys keep ‘em coming habscast@gmail.com word and Much Luv.
