Meeting expectations.

The Ducks played against Phoenix last night exactly as expected. Like crap.
But here’s the positive, the Ducks did get 2 points and Phoenix got 1, but they’re the least of the worries for the Ducks. Unfortunately, they’re going to have to play a heck of alot better on Sunday when they play this team again.
Apparently, they don’t know how to play defense once the clock drops below 3:00 minutes in the 3rd period. Not that they really bother to play defense any other time.
For five minutes tonight, I really thought …

Ducks decision time.

Those Ducks sure do know how to keep you on the edge of your seat don’t they?
Standing and cheering with 1 minute left in the game, up by one and heading to the post season…the Ducks give up a goal with 13.1 seconds to send the game into overtime. That 1 overtime point was all that the Ducks needed in order to clinch a spot in the playoffs, but…

The day after…

I’d have to say… last night was one of the more exciting nights of hockey we’ve seen this season. The games in New York and Boston especially had a playoff feel.
Montreal/Boston
Please, please, please meet up in the 1st round! Although the refs let that game get out of hand last night, those first 2 periods were awesome with all the scrums & fights. The Lucic take down on Komisarek was cheap, but classic. Those two for sure have a rivalry within the rivalry. Ryan O’Byrne’s scrum with Shawn Thornton was …
