It was quick but it wasn’t painless. The Bruins ripped through the Habs in four straight. It’s getting tougher to keep the faith the way this team has been playing. I don’t even know what to say that hasn’t already been said.  Only Kovalev, Higgins and now Weber have been able to beet Thomas and at no point has a game looked particularly winnable. Actually Gross is not a part of this incredible episode. But the Habs actually looked like they had some fight in them as they didn’t back down from the Goliaths of the league; Chara and Lucic. Or in the Habs case lose and you’re in too. The Canadians have lost three games in a row (Senators, Rangers and Bruins) and somehow clinched a playoff spot. The Habs welcomed back their former number one net minder as the playoff bound Blackhawks came to the Bell Center. So Huet didn’t steal the show. Good for the Canadiens and for Carey Price who showed Gainey and Co. that he was the ready for the number one spot. Chi Town has talent but they just didn’t get the stops.
